It's a challenge for the Australian squad to break new ground.

The top summits have already been conquered.

This is the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, along with an additional six T20 titles, and once went nearly four years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The alternative records, targeted by the record chasers, are all that remain for a side that has achieved everything.

The fact it required as late as Sunday's victory by three wickets over India for them to complete their first ODI chase exceeding 300, reclaiming their record for the largest in the women's 50-over format, is, honestly, a compliment to the pitchers that have sported the yellow jersey over the last half-century.

It's challenging for their hitters to hold a record if never given the possibility.

Certain people claim the case for final game tension. Others can counter with the difficulty that comes when facing a record target and a raucous India-supporting crowd of 20,000.

What's clear is this ton was considerably tougher to anticipate.

Those words will be the last Australia's opponents at this World Cup should hear.

Over the past five days a sense they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this victory coming after win against Pakistan by 107-run victory despite struggling at 76-7 at one point.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a meeting with old rivals England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may likely be confirmed.

It was in the semi-finals they were eliminated from last year's T20 World Cup in a shock defeat by South Africa - a game Healy was absent due to damaged tissue in her foot as she led her country for the inaugural occasion at an important competition.

So strong is her resolve, she later said she regretted not playing with the discomfort.

But while she afterwards confessed those fitness problems have pushed back consideration of ending her career, this World Cup is expected to be her last as captain in ODI cricket and she is yet to win an international tournament as skipper.

Triumph in India would bring her to the top of her final mountain.
