19 of the Russian's 21 victories have been won on hardcourt
A resurgent the Russian player secured his first championship for 882 days with a win over Frenchman Moutet in the Almaty Open championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- world number one, has endured a torrid period, managing just one win at the Grand Slams and experiencing a setback at the US Open.
Medvedev's varied form on the tennis tour - and struggles with his service game in especial - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and finally splitting with former trainer Cervara.
Now training with Thomas Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily improved in the past month - climaxing in a tightly fought three-set win over challenger Corentin Moutet.
This represents his first trophy following the Rome competition and initial on a hard court since March of 2023.
Victory also means the Russian has achieved twenty-one titles at 21 various tournaments.
"It's the first time I am participating in a event with my both daughters together, so to win a championship is really nice," commented tennis professional the champion.
"This title is in tribute of my younger daughter her name, because the initial championship I got when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
The tennis star, the 2021 US Open champion, had lost his last six championship matches, including in the German tournament earlier this year.
The player's defensive strategy and recurring reactions on court had led some to question if his skill to compete at the highest level was over.
However the athlete has made changes in the last few weeks, striving to come to the net and play aggressively, backed up by an improved serve.
Medvedev recovered from a disadvantage in the first set against the tricky Moutet, taking 4 of the final five points to gain the advantage.
The competitors traded breaks in the middle set before Moutet, bidding for his maiden ATP Tour championship, seized the initiative to push for a final set.
He rescued 4 initial chances in a competitive final set before the Russian won the break to that score to close out the victory.
Fittingly, Medvedev secured victory with a rally at the net area, with the Frenchman failing to handle a return after two hours and 38 minutes.
