Assassin's Creed Unveils Unexpected AoT Event for Holiday Season
In a surprising partnership that challenges traditional predictions, the game developer has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event runs from November 25 through December 22, providing free additional story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Mission Disclosed
According to the authorized release, "A mysterious meeting draws characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of forbidden practices and fearsome metamorphoses echo through the obscurity." The plot introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who tasks the pair with traveling into the Crystalline Cavern—a key location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her companion from a secret group.
The questline focuses on "bizarre tests and a fearsome foe" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Recognizable Places and Changes
The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The trailer concludes with a dramatic scene showing a character, probably the prisoner, transforming into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Items and Extra Features
Players who finish the quest will receive an special katana in addition to numerous items concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also contains premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
